The Field Mice

The Field Mice，英国重量级Indie Pop乐队，传奇厂牌SARAH旗下头号乐队。乐队组建于1988年，1991年就已经解散了，出版了三张专辑，分别是snowball，skywriting,for keeps。解散后分裂成了Trembling Blue Stars和Northern Picture Library。Trembling Blue Stars各位indie pop乐迷比较熟悉，至于后者我也没有听过他们的专辑。可能年代久远了，The Field Mice纵使很优秀，在中国的知名度远比时下的indie pop乐队低。听音乐，还是要听回经典的东西，重拾经典英伦声音。

For Keeps 是The Field Mice最后的作品，也是最好的作品。旋律雕琢细腻，编曲架构出色。风格多样，有清新纯真的小品，也有电气氛围化的歌曲，梦幻的吉他，好几首歌曲的末尾部分是纯器乐的演绎，那曲调让我想起了the smiths。willow里头的女声轻柔淡定，伴以简单吉他扫弦和大提琴。此时的The Field Mice已经处于创作力的顶峰时期，自我风格浑圆成熟。The Field Mice也从90年代早期的音乐潮脱颖而出。
